Meet Our Advisory Board

The Advisory Board of Human Act and Millionaires for Humanity provides insight, fosters relationships, and offers strategic guidance to drive systemic change toward global wealth taxation.

Nyaradzayi Gumbonzvanda

The Chair of the Board is Nyaradzayi from Zimbabwe, a global thought leader on economic and social justice, human rights, and peace. She is a trained human rights lawyer with extensive experience in conflict resolution and mediation.

Nyaradzayi is the Founder and CEO of Rozaria Memorial Trust and serves as an African Union Ambassador focused on ending child marriage. In addition to chairing our Advisory Board, she also leads the ActionAid International Board and Federation.

Sasja Beslik

Sasja is an international finance expert known for promoting financial sustainability across the world. He is a Danish-Swedish refugee from Bosnia and Herzegovina with a degree in economics and journalism from Stockholm University. As a journalist, he has covered wars and humanitarian crises for the Red Cross from 1998 to 2000. With 20 years of international experience in advising and working with multinational companies on investment issues, he became the Head of Sustainable Finance at Nordea In 2017. Currently, Sasja is a Senior Executive in Sustainable Finance at Bank J. Safra Sarasin in Switzerland.

Antonis Schwarz

Antonis is an impact investor, philanthropist, and activist of Greek-German descent, and the heir to a German pharmaceuticals company. He is a proud member of the Millionaires for Humanity and TaxMeNow networks, using his privilege as a wealth holder to actively advocate for tax justice.

As a strong believer in the power of activism, Antonis founded the Guerrilla Foundation in 2016 to support progressive social movements and activists working to bring about major systemic change across Europe.

Miriam Plon Sauer

Miriam is a Danish award-winning brand and communications strategist with a proven track record of building brands that add value. A thought leader on the ability and responsibility of brands and companies to create a positive impact in the world, she has extensive experience in positioning and repositioning everything from established international brands to scale-ups, start-ups, and NGOs.

Currently, Miriam serves as Executive Strategy Director at AKQA EMEA, leading brand strategy and creative work for global brands and organizations.

Virgilio Viana

Virgilio is a Brazilian forest engineer and one of the country’s leading experts on forestry, the environment, and sustainable development. He served as Brazil’s Secretary of State for Environment and Sustainable Development from 2003 to 2008 and is currently the Director-General of the Amazonia Sustainability Foundation.

He holds a Ph.D. in Biology from Harvard University and completed a post-doc in sustainable development at Florida University. Virgilio is also the Chair of the UN’s Sustainable Development Solutions Network for the Amazon and the founder of the Amazon COVID Alliance.

Alice Krozer

Alice is an inequality expert with roots in Mexico and Germany. Her research focuses on elites and privilege, discrimination and racism, and perceptions of inequality. She is currently a professor at the Center for Sociological Studies at El Colegio de México and holds a Ph.D. in Development Studies from the University of Cambridge.

Alice also holds degrees from the London School of Economics and Copenhagen Business School, and has been a visiting researcher at Stanford University and Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. She has previous experience as a consultant for UN ECLAC, Oxfam, among others.

Rafael Wildauer

Rafael is an economist from the UK and Austria, with a focus on the distribution of income and wealth. He is the co-author of “A European Wealth Tax Policy Study”, published in 2021.

Rafael is a Senior Lecturer in Economics at the University of Greenwich in London, where he is a member of the Institute for Political Economy, Governance, Finance and Accountability (PEGFA) and the Economics and International Business Department.

He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Kingston University and completed both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Economics at the University of Vienna.
