Women LEAD Nepal

We work with ConnectHER to support Women LEAD Nepal, led by Executive Director Hima Bista. In a country where women face major barriers in education, healthcare, and politics, Women LEAD empowers young women (ages 19–25) to step into leadership roles through its Young Women’s Political Leadership Institute.

This 11-month program gives young women hands-on experience in Nepal’s political system through internships with female politicians, grassroots advocacy, and campaign training. It also prioritizes participation from women in marginalized communities to foster greater inclusion and representation.

With ConnectHER and Human Act’s involvement, Women LEAD is preparing the next generation of women leaders to strengthen Nepal’s democracy and advance gender equality.
